Multimedia version of International Labour Standards: A global approach

No legal system is static.  New concepts are continually incorporated to keep up with changes in the environment in which the system operates.  The same dynamism applies to international labour standards.  In an effort to capture the body of developed jurisprudence, the ILO published on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of its Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recomendations in 2002, a 690 page text entitled  International Labour Standards: A Global Approach.  The publication - a compilation of essays prepared by officials of the International Labour Office - aimed at presenting the ILO’s standards to constituents in an accessible, but technically sound manner.

The publication promised a multimedia version, which LiD collaborated in conceptualizing and preparing.  The finalized Macromedia Director product, including instructional video and audio clips, PowerPoint-like exposition, text and supporting training and substantive documentation, was published in June 2006.
